Scholarship Overview

Delft University of Technology offers the Delft University of Technology Holland Scholarship. This one time scholarship offered by the International Students Office of Delft University of Technology awards scholarships to degree-seeking students who have specified financial needs. Note that a large portion of the scholarship funds come from International student tuition. Delft University of Technology Holland Scholarship is applicable for Masters Degree. The award is applicable for the courses like MSc in Offshore & Dredging Engineering. If we consider the amount of the Delft University of Technology Holland Scholarship, then it varies each semester. The applicants should review the scholarship application in order to fully understand the availability and amount for that particular semester. To qualify for the award, candidates must have completed the Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade. Foreign students wishing to apply for this scholarship must take English proficiency exams such as TOEFL and IELTS. Students will require the following documentation to apply for the scholarship: LOR, Essays and CV.

• The scholarship amounts to € 5,000 
• The awardee will receive this in the first year of their studies
• Please note that this is not a full-tuition scholarship
• A candidate can be awarded multiple Holland Scholarships, based on merit, to a maximum of 3 (€15,000)
• The Holland Scholarship can be also combined with a TU Delft Excellence Scholarship and Sub-Saharan Excellence Scholarship

Eligibility

• A 4-year bachelor's degree from a recognized institution with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 75% or better.
• MSc program applicants should have a (minimum) 4 year Bachelor's degree (state/federal or deemed institution) passed with First Class Distinction or First Class
• English Requirements:
  • TOEFL- overall band score of at least 90 and a minimum score of 21 for each section
  • IELTS- with an overall Band score of at least 6.5 and a minimum of 6.0 for each section.

• LOR: Two reference letters in English
  • These letters must be:
    • From either a previous professor or assistant professor, If an applicant has work experience, one of the letters can be from the employer
    • Written on the official letterhead /have the official stamp of the university or company
    • Signed by the referee and must include applicants complete name
• Essay:
  • A clear and relevant essay in English (1,000 – 1,500 words) addressing the following:
    • The motivation for choosing this MSc program
    • Why applicants are interested in TU Delft and what would they expect to find in the University
    • If this MSc program has a specialization (s), which specialization interests the applicant most and why?
    • Describe the hypothetical thesis project: what kind of project would they prefer? What would the applicant want to explore? Please limit the answer to three possible topics
    • Summarize in a maximum of 250 words applicants thesis work or final assignment/project
      • Please include information about the workload
• CV:
  • An extensive curriculum vitae (resume) written in English
• An original or certified copy of your official academic transcript
• Proof of identity (Photocopy of the page(s) of the passport that shows the name, date of birth, place of birth, and the passport expiration date)

Procedure:

• No extra application form is needed to apply for the scholarship
• Only students meeting this deadline who have been (conditionally) admitted to one of the MSc programs of TU Delft could be considered for these scholarships
• Only students who have been granted a scholarship will be informed by TU Delft via email

Scholarship Application

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.
