Scholarship Overview

Department of Statistics MSc Bursary is applicable to only Masters courses. This is a merit based scholarship. Department of Statistics MSc Bursary award up to Pound 19,430 one time to various international students. The number of students to be awarded this scholarship are 2 each year. To be eligible for this scholarship students need to appear for IELTS and PTE.Students must have passed 12th and Undergraduate degree to be eligible for this scholarship. All international students irrespective of their Nationality can apply for a Department of Statistics MSc Bursary. If an applicant has already received a free bursary or has applied for another scholarship offered by the university, then he/she is not eligible for this scholarship. All international students are auto-considered for these scholarships when they apply for the courses that have scholarships.

• The bursaries will pay fees at the Home rate £10,430 and a maintenance grant of £9,000.

Eligibility

• Applicants must hold undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Statistics, Mathematics or a science with sufficiently high mathematical content.
• Applicants must meet the english language requirements
• Band A- IELTS overall 6.5, none below 6.0 and PTE 62 (including 59 + in all components)

Application Process for this scholarship

• Applicants must include a letter with their application, headed "Bursary application"
• The letter should explain in no more than 400 words why they wish to study for the MSc in Statistics, and their future career plans.
• The Department will notify all applicants who have been awarded a bursary.
