Dr. A Lorris and Ann C. Betz Endowed Scholarship is offered by the The University of Utah. This scholarship is for pursuing a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree, The Dr. A Lorris and Ann C. Betz Endowed Scholarship is given one-time to any number of students depending upon the university. Scholarship amount is decided by the university which will be used to waive the tuition fee for the student.

Eligibility

• Students must consecutively be registered full time (12 credit hours undergraduate students, 9 credit hours graduate students) in the semester the scholarship is awarded. 
• Applicants must be enrolled in a major within the College of Health
• Applicants must have maintainied minimum 3.5 GPA

Preference will be given to following candidates:

• Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need and students aspiring to attend graduate school

Application Process for this scholarship

• Submit FAFSA to be considered for need based scholarships
• If applicants are not eligible to submit a FAFSA online, then they should follow the following steps to complete the Federal Student Aid Estimator (FSAE)
  • Go to website https://studentaid.gov/aid-estimator/
  • Click "Start."
  • Enter all applicable personal information for the academic year.
  • Fill out the Federal Student Aid Estimator information based on you and/or your parents tax information.
  • Download a PDF of "Your Estimated Results."
  • Email Ashley Stevenson (ashley.stevenson@utah.edu) this PDF, along with the name of the scholarship(s) you applied for and reference the information .  Must also be submitted to the College of Health, Scholarship Chair, Jeanette Koski, (jeanette.koski@hsc.utah.edu).
