Scholarship Overview

Dr. Derick Wood Graduate Scholarship are offered at University of Waterloo to those international students who are pursuing a Masters Degree. This is a Merit Based Scholarship, which is provided to only single student. Dr. Derick Wood Graduate Scholarship are valued at CAD 10000 for single student who qualify from University of Waterloo. Also, the Dr. Derick Wood Graduate Scholarship helps students in reducing tuition on a yearly basis, offered in the first year of Masters Degree only. Applications for Dr. Derick Wood Graduate Scholarship at University of Waterloo are filed separately. Bachelor degree is required for applicants to be eligible for this scholarship. In order to apply for the scholarship, students need the following documents: LOR. Along with the Dr. Derick Wood Graduate Scholarship application. The eligibility of the students to qualify for Dr. Derick Wood Graduate Scholarship would solely depend on the applicant’s admission to University of Waterloo Masters Degree, his/her aptitude for an overall contribution towards University of Waterloo community and of course the academic achievements.

• The student must be enrolled in a graduate degree in David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science in the Faculty of Mathematics on the basis of scholastic excellence and evidence of research potential, as indicated by publications and letters of reference 

Preference will be given to following candidates:

• Preference will be given to students whose research area is Algorithms and Complexity
