Scholarship Overview

English and Writing Scholarship is offered by the The University of Tampa. This scholarship is for pursuing a Bachelors Degree, The English and Writing Scholarship is given yearly to a multiple students each year. This scholarship awards a maximum of USD 6000 per student and is used to cover tuition. Under this scholarship some students get their full tuition fee waived. To be eligible for this grant, applicants must have taken the 12th grade. Students from abroad must take English proficiency exams like TOEFL, IELTS in order to be eligible for this award.

• Applicants must have passed high school 
• Applicants must be a new entering student (fall term entry only)
• Applicants must demonstrated exceptional potential for achievement in English or writing
• Applicants must be a declared major in English or Writing
• Applicants must be an accepted student to be considered for a scholarship.

Application Process for this scholarship

• SUbmit 10-15 pages of creative and/or critical writing (poetry, short fiction, nonfiction, literary analysis or a combination of forms
• Submit 300- to 500-word personal statement emphasizing the role of literature and/or writing in your life
• Applicants are required to email their entries to admission counselor. Please write in the subject line: “English and Writing Scholarship Application” and submit all writing in an MS Word document
