English Proficiency Award at the North Island College are designed to provide financial assistance to talented students from all over the world who wish to pursue their studies. This Merit Based scholarship covers tuition of candidates. This is a Merit Based scholarship offering 1500 USD majorly covering the tuition. This scholarship offers to contribute towards the course. The number of awards Varies depending upon the university each year. There are several eligibility criteria for the scholarships. For instance, Candidates should also have significant professional experience and good leadership qualities. All applicants must have successfully earned an accredited undergraduate degree.

Eligibility

• Applicants must be an international student entering any of the program at the college
• Applicants must have achieved following english proficiency scores to be eligible for this scholarship
• New applicants from India with following English assessment scores:
  •  Students with the overall IELTS 7.0/TOEFL iBT 94/CAEL 67 - $1,000
  •  Students with the overall IELTS 7.5/TOEFL iBT 102/CAEL 74 or above - $1,500

   

• New applicants from any other country with following English assessment scores:

  •  Students with the overall IELTS 6.5/TOEFL iBT 80/ CAEL 60 - $500
  •  Students with the overall IELTS 7.0/TOEFL iBT 94/CAEL 67 - $1,000
  •  Students with the overall IELTS 7.5/TOEFL iBT 102/CAEL 74 or above - $1,500
  •  Students with the overall Duolingo English Test 120 or higher - $1,000

Application Process for this scholarship

• Submit proof of english proficiency scores
• Students in receipt of this award will be notified upon enrollment. The award is automatically applied once the full-time student status is confirmed after add/drop date of the first semester.

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.
