Father Roger Guindon Student Assistance Fund is aimed at providing support to outstanding students entering or enrolled in the Master of Business Complex Project Leadership,Master of Science in Health Systems,Certificate in Human Resource Management,Master of Communication,Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering,Master of Engineering in Advanced Materials and Manufacturing from University of Ottawa in Canada. This award can be awarded to Multiple candidates. Eligibility

  • The applicant must:
    • be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student; 
    • be admitted or registered as a full-time or part-time student at the University of Ottawa;
    • be in good academic standing
    • demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa;
    • have overcome and/or is dealing with significant and long-term life challenges; and 6. be registered full-time or part-time during the Fall term following the application deadline.
  • Note: Former recipients of this fund are eligible to receive it again, upon reapplication and should they meet all the eligibility criteria

Application Process for this scholarship

  • Applications must be made through Online Scholarships and Bursaries, which can be accessed through the uoZone portal, and should include:
    • the Financial Questionnaire; 
    • a letter from the applicant detailing the significant and long-term life challenges he/she has been or is currently facing, supported by documented evidence;
    • a letter from the applicant detailing how this funding would improve his/her situation.
