Scholarship Overview

Federation University Australia Global Excellence Scholarship is offered by the Federation University Australia - Brisbane Campus . Federation University Australia Global Excellence Scholarship is awarded to Masters Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given on a yearly basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is AUD 7300. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To qualify for the award, candidates must have completed the Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS, PTE.

Eligibility

• To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be:
  • A prospective international student
  • Enrolling as a commencing student in semester 1, 2, or summer semester in 2023
  • Eligible to study in Australia with a valid visa 
  • Not be in receipt of any other University Scholarship
• For postgraduate programs - Overall academic performance with ‘Distinction’ in a Bachelor degree study from HE Section 1 University with an average grade of 70% (Division 1 only)
• The student must meet the minimum English requirements for admission into the selected program and no more than 10 weeks EAP program to be offered (or equivalent)
  • For Business/ Technology program:
    • IELTS: Overall score of 6 With no band less than 6.0
    • TOEFL: Overall range: 60-78 and minimum score in each band Reading 13, Listening 12, Speaking 18, Writing 21
    • PTE: Overall score of 50, No band less than 50
  • For Public Health program: 
    • TOEFL: Overall range: 79-93 and minimum score in each band Reading 18, Listening 18, Speaking 20, Writing 24
    • IELTS: Overall score of 6.5 With no band less than 6.0
    • PTE: Overall score of 58, No band less than 58
