Scholarship Overview

FGSR's Undergraduate Research Award (UGRA) is applicable to only Bachelors Degree students. This is a Merit Based scholarship. FGSR's Undergraduate Research Award (UGRA) award up to CAD 10000 on a one time basis to various international students. The number of students to be awarded this scholarship Varies depending upon the university each year. All international students are auto-considered for these scholarships when they apply for the courses that have scholarships.

Eligibility

• Undergraduate Research Award Student must be:
  • an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Regina throughout the time of the award
  • have completed all the course requiremts of at least the first year of study (or two academic terms) of your bachelor's degree
  • enrolled in at least one class during the Fall 2022 or Winter 2023 semesters
  • will NOT be registered in the Spring/Summer while holding the full time award

Application Process for this scholarship

• Students must attach a copy to their application of their “Current Registration & List of Courses (Unofficial Transcript)” from UR Self Service
• Faculty Members are asked to work with prospective Undergraduate Research Awardees to prepare a one page statement, including detailed description of the specific research tasks that the student will be engaged in, types of training and/or mentorship that will be committed by the faculty and/or supervisor (e.g., research methods, safety training)
