Freshmen Global Wildcat Awards is a type of scholarship which is offered by the University of Arizona . Freshmen Global Wildcat Awards is awarded to Bachelors Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given on a yearly basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is USD 22000. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To be eligible for this scholarship students must have appeared for 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS and PTE.   • Scholarship is based on GPA:
    • Applicants with 4 GPA will be awarded an amount of $23,000
    • Applicants with 3.75 to 3.89 GPA will be awarded an amount of $19,000
    • Applicants with 3.50 to 3.74 GPA will be awarded an amount of $13,000
    • Applicants with 3.25 to 3.49 GPA will be awarded an amount of $8,000
    • Applicants with 3.00 to 3.24 GPA will be awarded an amount of $5,000
  • Students must meet the standard, minimum renewal requirements by the conclusion of the academic year (fall, winter, spring and summer semesters) in order to receive the scholarship for the following academic year
  • This award covers a portion of non-resident tuition only. Tuition does not include fees, surcharges, room and board, books or other expenses
  • This scholarship may be reduced each year the Qualified Tuition Reduction (QTR) (a benefit for faculty and staff) is utilized or other tuition reduction programs are utilized. Students offered multiple awards designated for base tuition, cannot receive more than 100% of base tuition
  • The total award amount is for the academic year which is evenly split between the fall and spring semesters. Students who graduate in December are not eligible to receive the full academic year amount for one semester
  • Award amounts may be split into two portions that add up to the grand total amount offered
