Scholarship Overview

Gallifrey Scholarship for Social Enterprise is awarded for pursuing Sloan Masters in Leadership and Strategy at London Business School. A student can get a maximum amount of GBP 20000 and the scholarship amount will be given one time only. The scholarship amount can be used for paying tuition. Preference will be given to women and/or candidates residing in Africa. To be eligible for the award, applicants must have completed their 12th grade and also possess a Bachelor degree. To be eligible for this award, international students must take English language examinations as well as standardised exams like IELTS, PTE, GRE and GMAT. As a part of selection process, applicants must have relevant work experience and also needs to appear for an interview. In order to apply for the scholarship, students need the following documents: LOR, Essays and CV.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have passed a bachelor's degree
  • Applicants must have a background in social enterprise
  • English Language Proficiency Proof:
    • A score of IELTS, or
    • A score of PTE, or
    • English Language Proficiency may be waived for those who have been working in an English-speaking environment for a substantial amount of time or who have studied at degree level in English
  • GMAT/GRE scores
  • Sloan Fellows typically have an average of 18 years’ experience with extensive management responsibilities
  • Interview: A decision will be made to invite applicants to interview based on their initial application review

    • Applicants are required to submit two reference
    • One referee should be a current or previous manager; the other a colleague, someone else who knows the applicant well at work, or someone else who knows him in a professional capacity
  • Submit Essay- Current LBS Sloan essay topics are as follows:
    1. Please provide a personal statement explaining how you will contribute to the experience of others on the programme, and how the LBS Sloan MSc programme will benefit you. (600 words)
    2. Describe what it would mean to you personally to be an alumnus of London Business School, what you believe membership of the community represents, and how you would give back to London Business School in the future. (600 words)
  • A one-page CV/Resume. If the applicant has any significant gaps in his/her employment history, give the reasons on a separate sheet
  • Academic Transcripts
