Scholarship Overview

GCU New Postgraduate Student Scholarship- Business Other Masters provides financial support, to academically excellent Indian students, for pursuing any Masters Degree course at the Glasgow Caledonian University, This scholarship is specifically meant for Indian students who are pursuing full-time Masters Degree course at the Glasgow Caledonian University, involves a one_time scholarship award of 2000 that can be used to pay for the tuition. Students must note that accommodation, health cover, application fees, etc. do not fall within the purview of this scholarship. Moreover, this scholarship will be awarded to a maximum of Varies depending upon the university students, one of whom might belong to a country other than India. To be considered for this award, applicants must have a Bachelor degree. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like IELTS and PTE. The following documentation is required from students in order to apply for the scholarship: SOP, LOR and Official Transcripts. Students are not required to submit a separate application for applying to the GCU New Postgraduate Student Scholarship- Business Other Masters, as their application will be automatically considered at the time of course application. Students are expected to return to India after the completion of their academic course.

  • Applicant must be self-funded
  • Applicants must have any one of the following in the relevant subject:
    • Four years Bachelor's degree (50% minimum; second class average over course duration)
    • Three years Bachelor's degree (60% minimum; first-class average over course duration) OR
    • UK honors degree 2:2 (or equivalent), with two years’ appropriate management experience if the applicant has a non-business degree (For MBA Luxury Management course)
  • IELTS:
    • 6.0 (with no band less than 5.5) 
  • PTE: 54 with no element less than 51
  • MSc Environmental Management (Waste, Energy, Water, Oil, and Gas) Prerequisites: science or engineering-related degree including environmental studies, engineering, planning, geology, geography, zoology
    • Other management-related and relevant experiences will also be considered

  • SOP:
    • Statement of Purpose is required and should contain the following:
      • Motivation for wanting to study this particular course, at GCU in particular, and how you have learned more about this course

      • Was there a particular factor in your choice of institution, such as the local area, the reputation of the team involved in the course, placement opportunities, or similar?

    • Employment references should be provided by a current or previous supervisor or line manager from your most recent employment or work experience
    • Letters of reference should not be provided by a friend or family member
  • Academic Transcripts
    • Academic transcripts must be official copies suitable for external purposes.
    • Transcripts marked with wording such as "unofficial” or “student’s copy” are not suitable.
    • Transcripts should not be screenshots or printed pages from a website
  • Academic and professional certificates:
    • Secondary school certificates should be from the examination awarding body (such as Cambridge, SQA, WAEC, Indian State Board Higher Secondary Education)
