GCU New Postgraduate Student Scholarship- MSc Food Bioscience provides financial support, to academically excellent Indian students, for pursuing any Masters Degree course at the Glasgow Caledonian University, This scholarship is specifically meant for Indian students who are pursuing full-time Masters Degree course in MSc Food Bioscience from the Glasgow Caledonian University. GCU New Postgraduate Student Scholarship- MSc Food Bioscience for MSc Food Bioscience in MSc Food Bioscience, at the Glasgow Caledonian University, involves a one_time scholarship award of 1600 that can be used to pay for the tuition. Students must note that accommodation, health cover, application fees, etc. do not fall within the purview of this scholarship. Moreover, this scholarship will be awarded to a maximum of Varies depending upon the university students, one of whom might belong to a country other than India. To be eligible for the award, applicants must have completed their Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like IELTS and PTE. The following documentation is required from students in order to apply for the scholarship: SOP and LOR. Students are not required to submit a separate application for applying to the GCU New Postgraduate Student Scholarship- MSc Food Bioscience, as their application will be automatically considered at the time of course application. Students are expected to return to India after the completion of their academic course.

• Students will receive £1,600 towards their first annual fees and £1,000 for each subsequent year of their degree. Up to £2,600 over 2 years

Eligibility

• Applicant must be self-funded
• Applicants must have any one of the followingin in food science or technology/biological sciences:
  • 4-year Bachelor's degree (50% minimum; second class average over programme duration); or
  • 3-year Bachelor's degree (60% minimum; first-class average over programme duration)
• IELTS: 6.0 (with no band less than 5.5) for other courses
• PTE: 54 with no element less than 51
• Applicants scoring 70% or higher marks in English in 12th are exempt from English language tests
• Students will automatically receive the fee discount when you are offered a place on your chosen course, and at the time of invoicing for each subsequent year of your degree if you meet the criteria above

  • Statement of Purpose is required and should contain the following:
    -Your motivation for wishing to undertake this specific programme of study, at GCU in particular, and how you have learned more about this programme
    -What interests you about your chosen programme’s content, and what makes it the most suitable one for you to undertake
    -Was there a particular factor in your choice of institution, such as the local area, the reputation of the Programme Team, placement opportunities, or similar
    -Your background, in relation to previous studies, employment or work experience, and why this programme represents an appropriate progression from what you have done before
    -Your plan upon graduation and how this programme will help you realistically achieve your goals and objectives
    -Why you wish to study in the UK, rather than undertake this programme in your home country

  • Employment references should be provided by a current or previous supervisor or line manager from your most recent employment or work experience
