Scholarship Overview

Generations Award is a type of scholarship which is offered by the Iowa State University . Generations Award is awarded to Bachelors Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given on a yearly basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is USD 1500. . Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship.

• Applicants will be awarded $1,500 per year for four years
• Renewable condition: Applicant must maintain continuous, full-time, nonresident enrollment at Iowa State University with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00
• This scholarship is disbursed during the fall and spring terms only, not during the summer term

• Students who meet the following criteria are eligible to receive the Generations Award:
  • Students who have a parent, step-parent, legal guardian, or grandparent who graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree
  • Students who enroll at Iowa State University as a new full-time, nonresident, undergraduate student beginning summer or fall term
