Glen and Carole Egilson Community Building Award is awarded at Langara College to international students applying for various Bachelors,Masters Diploma,Bachelors Diploma courses offered across Associate of Science Degree in Physics,Post-Degree Diploma in Business Administration,Associate of Science Degree in Biology,Associate of Science Degree in Mathematics,Associate of Science in Computer Science etc. Scholarship will be awarded to 2 candidates. Those who qualify to get this scholarship, are awarded CAD 1500, which is a one time award. This scholarship cover tuition. Glen and Carole Egilson Community Building Award. , . Indian students are eligible to apply for Glen and Carole Egilson Community Building Award at Langara College along with students from multiple countries. Students will have to fill an admission application form at Langara College.

Eligibility

• Applicants must have completed a minimum of two full-time terms at Langara College and who has a minimum CGPA of 2.33
• The recipient must be able to demonstrate, within the last calendar year from application date, commitment and dedication to facilitating cultural adjustment and/or life transitions for international students and/or newcomers to Canada, and embodies the spirit of giving and hospitality, in a volunteer capacity outside of Langara

Application Process for this scholarship

• Student Letter of Contribution, in the student's own words, outlining your community involvement in international or cultural extra-curricular activities, events or community programs, OUTSIDE of Langara, which demonstrate student's involvement in facilitating cultural adjustment and/or life transitions for international students and/or newcomers to Canada
• Reference Letter, from your community volunteer supervisor or coordinator that testifies to outstanding contributions and confirms student's involvement as stated in the letter of contribution
