Scholarship Overview

International President's Scholars is a type of scholarship which is offered by the Golden Gate University - International President's Scholars is awarded to Masters Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given on a trimester basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is USD 5000. To qualify for the award, candidates must have completed the Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS, PTE.Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To qualify for the award, candidates must have completed the Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS, PTE.

Eligibility

Additional Information

To be considered for the Scholarship:-

  • Students must be an international student who entered the United State using an F Visa. Students studying on a J visa are not eligible for these scholarships or grants
  • President's, Dean's, and Academic Program scholarship recipients must be continuously enrolled in 9 or more units and maintain satisfactory academic progress as evidenced by achieving and maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher in each term of enrollment. These scholarships are renewable for a maximum of four consecutive (4) terms
  • Students may only receive one scholarship or grant. Specifically, President's, Dean's, and Academic Program scholarship recipients are not eligible for the Welcome Grant or the Alumni Referral Grant
  • A $1,000 US tuition deposit is required of all admitted students prior to the issuance of visa eligibility documents (commonly known as form I-20). The deposit is credited toward the first term's tuition and is non-refundable
  • Students who defer enrollment to a future term will lose eligibility for their scholarship
