Scholarship Overview

Graduate Students' Union Award for Academic Excellence at the Memorial University of Newfoundland are designed to provide financial assistance to talented students from all over the world who wish to pursue their studies. This Merit Based scholarship covers tuition of candidates. This is a Merit Based scholarship offering 1219 CAD majorly covering the tuition. This scholarship offers to contribute towards the course. The number of awards offered is 1 each year. There are several eligibility criteria for the scholarships. For instance, Candidates should also have significant professional experience and good leadership qualities. All applicants must have successfully earned an accredited undergraduate degree.

Application Process for this scholarship

Application process:

• Students must apply and submit an application to the School of Graduate Studies via email at sgs@mun.ca.
• The scholarship application consists of a covering letter outlining basis of financial need, a CV specifically outlining any peer-reviewed abstracts or publications, all transcripts, and three letters of reference. Applications can be submitted via email at sgs@mun.ca by the deadline date
• Once the selection has been made by the Awards and Medals Committee, a recommendation will be forwarded to the Dean of Graduate Studies.
