Scholarship Overview

HZ University of Applied Sciences offers the Holland Scholarship. This one time scholarship offered by the International Students Office of HZ University of Applied Sciences awards scholarships to degree-seeking students who have specified financial needs. Note that a large portion of the scholarship funds come from International student tuition. Holland Scholarship is applicable for Bachelors Degree. The award is applicable for the courses like Bachelors in Chemistry,Bachelors in Civil Engineering,Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and Management Studies. If we consider the amount of the Holland Scholarship, then it varies each semester. The applicants should review the scholarship application in order to fully understand the availability and amount for that particular semester. To be eligible for this scholarship students must have appeared for 12th grade. Foreign students wishing to apply for this scholarship must take English proficiency exams such as IELTS.

Max scholarship per student: Euro 5,000 => Rs 4,55,300

Conversion rate used: 1 Euro = Rs. 93.25 (last updated 26th September 2024)

• The scholarship awarded is not a full scholarship. It has a value of € 5,000.00 and is allotted for one year only
• Payments will take place by transferring four installments of each € 1,250.

Eligibility

• Eligibility criteria: 
  • The student should not be from the European Economic Area (EEA). The EEA consists of the EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway
  • The student has not previously studied in the Netherlands
  • The student has an IELTS of 6.5 (or higher) or an equivalent
  • The student wants to enrol in a fulltime (four-year or three-year) bachelor’s programme at HZ
  • The student has already been (conditionally) accepted to the HZ Bachelor’s programme indicated with his/her scholarship application

Preference will be given to following candidates:

• The HZ Scholarship Committee will award the scholarship based on previous academic results, motivation for choosing program of study, and C.V.

  • Students can apply for the scholarship by sending an email to study@hz.nl before 1 May of their starting year
    
    • In this email, the student should indicate reasons for choosing the particular HZ Bachelor programme of study
    • The student must also send a copy of his/her CV with the email
