Scholarship Overview

Horseshoe Scholars Award at the University of South Carolina are designed to provide financial assistance to talented students from all over the world who wish to pursue their studies. This Merit Based scholarship covers tuition of candidates. This is a Merit Based scholarship offering waiver against the tuition. This scholarship offers to contribute towards the course. The number of awards offered are 20 each year. To be eligible for this grant, applicants must have taken the 12th grade. Students from abroad must take English proficiency exams like TOEFL, IELTS, PTE in order to be eligible for this award.

Eligibility

• Applicants must have passed high school 
• Required high school courses: english, mathematics, laboratory science, social studeis, fine arts, foreign language
• Duolingo - 115
• Last year, nonresident Top Scholars had an average SAT score of 1550 (ACT score of 35) and an average high school GPA of 4.8 and were in the top 1% of their high school class, on average

• To apply for these scholarships, both an application for general university admission and a Top Scholars application must be submitted to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions
