Scholarship Overview

Humanitas Merit-based scholarship - Medicine and Biomedical Engineering are awarded by the Humanitas University, which supports students in its academics and research pursuits. Humanitas Merit-based scholarship - Medicine and Biomedical Engineering includes a yearly award of up to Euro 16000, which can be used for the purpose of tuition payment only. The scholarship does not include other expenses such as accommodation, living expenses, travel expenses, etc. Humanitas University usually looks for candidates with a holistic profile, and not just academic excellence. This scholarship is available to students from all countries. As for the academic eligibility criteria, candidates are expected to have 12th that can prove an academically excellent backgroun. • The two (2) available scholarships are divided into: 
  •  Two (2) partial scholarships. 
• The value of the two (2) scholarships is determined by: 
  • Two (2) partial scholarships valued at € 16,000.00 each 
• Scholarships will be awarded for each academic year until graduation, according to the criteria established in regulation
• Requirements for Renewal of Scholarships 
  • Scholarship winners of the Academic Year 2023-2024 are entitled to the renewal of the scholarship in the following years of the degree course up until graduation, if, at the end of each year, they meet the following requirements: 
    •  Achieved and maintained a weighted grade average equal to or greater than 27/30

Eligibility

• Applicants must be either in possession of a Secondary School Diploma or attending the last year of the secondary education
• If the local school system provides for 11 or 10 years of schooling, the title is valid when integrated with 1 or 2 years of university
• Applicant must be ranked within the first 10 positions in the final Non-EU Entrance Exam Ranking List which takes place in March
• Eligible candidates will be invited to interview with the Commission. The goal of the interview is to determine the motivation and aptitudes for each student towards their studies. Candidates may carry out their interview in person at Humanitas University (Via Rita Levi Montalcini 4, Pieve Emanuele, Milano – Italia), or through videoconferencing. 
  • The date of the interview will be communicated to the candidates immediately following the publication of the final Ranking List of the Entrance Exam. 

Preference will be given to following candidates:

• The scholarships will be assigned according to the following criteria: score of the Entrance Exam and outcome of the motivational interview
• In case of equal scores, the highest position in the ranking list is assigned to the candidate who obtains a better exam score
