Scholarship Overview

Humanitas Merit Scholarship is offered by the Humanitas University . Humanitas Merit Scholarship is awarded to Bachelors Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given on a yearly basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is Euro 16000. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To be eligible for this scholarship students must have appeared for 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like IELTS. As part of the selection process, students must attend an interview. Students must submit the following documentation to be considered for the scholarship: CV.

  • The four (4) available scholarships are: 
    •  Four (4) partial scholarships. 
      • The value of the four (4) scholarships is determined by: 
    • Four (4) partial scholarships valued at € 16,000.00 each 
  • Requirements for Renewal of Scholarships 
    • Scholarship winners of the Academic Year 2023-2024 are entitled to the renewal of the scholarship in the following years of the degree course up until graduation, if, at the end of each year, they meet the following requirements:  
      • Achieved and maintained a weighted grade average equal to or greater than 27/30; 
      • Achieved a minimum annual number of University Credits as specified in the following table

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be either in possession of a Secondary School Diploma or attending the last year of the secondary education
  • If the local school system provides for 11 or 10 years of schooling, the title is valid when integrated with 1 or 2 years of university
  • Applicant must be ranked within the first 10 positions in the final Non-EU Entrance Exam Ranking List
  • Eligible candidates will be invited to interview with the Commission. The goal of the interview is to determine the motivation and aptitudes for each student towards their studies. Candidates may carry out their interview in person at Humanitas University (Via Rita Levi Montalcini 4, Pieve Emanuele, Milano – Italia), or through videoconferencing. 
    • The date of the interview will be communicated to the candidates immediately following the publication of the final Ranking List of the Entrance Exam. 

Preference will be given to following candidates:

  • The scholarships will be assigned according to the following criteria: score of the Entrance Exam and outcome of the motivational interview
  • In case of equal scores, the highest position in the ranking list is assigned to the candidate who obtains a better exam score

Additional Information

  • Awarded students are expected to complete the Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery within 6 years. However, for the purpose of the present call, extra time of 6 months is granted for the completion of the Degree Course
  • Scholarship winners of the Academic Year 2023-2024 are entitled to the renewal of the scholarship in the following years of the degree course up until graduation, if, at the end of each year, they meet the following requirements: 
    • Achieved and maintained a weighted grade average equal to or greater than 27/30; 
    • Achieved a minimum annual number of University Credits as specified
      • 1st Year - According to the procedure 
      • 2nd Year  - 50, to be achieved by the end of the first year 
      • 3rd Year - 97, to be achieved by the end of the second year
      • 4th Year - 162, to be achieved by the end of the third year 
      • 5th Year  - 227, to be achieved by the end of the fourth year 
      • 6th Year  - 295, to be achieved by the end of the fifth year
