Scholarship Overview

Humber College offers the International Entrance scholarships. Every semester, the International Students Office of Humber College awards scholarships to degree-seeking students who have specified financial needs. Note that a large portion of the scholarship funds come from International student tuition. International Entrance scholarships is applicable for Bachelors Diploma. The award is applicable for the courses like Diploma in Computer Programmer,Advance Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology,Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technician,Advanced Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology,Advanced Diploma in Business Administration,Advance Diploma in Business Administration-Accounting,Advanced Diploma in Animation - 3D,Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology. If we consider the amount of the International Entrance scholarships, then it varies each semester. The applicants should review the scholarship application in order to fully understand the availability and amount for that particular semester. To be eligible for this scholarship students must have appeared for 12th grade. Foreign students wishing to apply for this scholarship must take English proficiency exams such as TOEFL, IELTS and PTE. Students must submit the following documentation to be considered for the scholarship: LOR.

  • This Scholarship incentive will equate to CAD 2,000 off student’s tuition fees over the course of their first 2 semesters of studies.

Eligibility

  • XIIth: Applicant must have passed High School with a minimum grade of 70 or above in required program subjects
    • Required courses: Grade 12th English and Grade 12th Mathematics
    • Required courses for Diploma in Biotechnology: Grade 12th  English, Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry 
    • Required courses Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technician/Advance Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology: Grade 12th Mathematics with 81 percent or above
    • Required courses for Advanced Diploma in Animation - 3D: Grade 12the English
  • Portfolio (Required for Advanced Diploma in Animation - 3D only): 
    • The portfolio should include 10 examples of original work, A variety of media is ideal (e.g. drawing, painting, musical, written and photography) to evaluate the creativity of applicant with different tools
  • Written Statement (Required for Advanced Diploma in Animation - 3D only):
    • Select three (3) of the pieces in the portfolio describe why that piece has been chosen in the portfolio (max 150 words per description)
  • English Language Proficiency Proof:
    • TOEFL: 80 with no single test score below 20
    • IELTS: 6.0 with no single test score below 5.5
    • PTE: Minimum score of 53 - 57
    • ELP can be waived for the applicants having a minimum of 3 years of full-time study at the secondary school level where English is the primary language of instruction and evaluation, with acceptable grades in all English courses
