Scholarship Overview

Hyams Bursary is applicable to only Masters Degree only. This is a Merit Based scholarship. Hyams Bursary award up to GBP 3500 one_time to various international students. The number of students to be awarded this scholarship 1 each year.   To be eligible for this scholarship students are required to have a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, or a minimum PTE score of No specific scores mentioned. To be considered for this award, applicants must have a Bachelor degree. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like IELTS, PTE. All international students are auto-considered for these scholarships when they apply for the courses that have scholarships.

Eligibility

• Applicants should normally hold a second-class honours degree or the equivalent from an international institution in any discipline, or have LIS related work experience
• IELTS: 6.5 (minimum of 6.0 in all four components)
• Preference will be given to applicants with scientific qualifications or experience, particularly in the chemical or pharmaceutical sciences, and/or specific interests in scientific information handling
• Preference will also be given to applicants who are self-funding their studies

• Degree certificate and transcript of marks from the first degree
• A detailed personal statement outlining why you wish to study this specific course, at City, University of London, as well as explaining how your past studies have prepared you for this course and how it will help you to progress in your career
• If have relevant work experience relating to the degree you are applying for, please upload a copy of your current CV/resume

Applications for the bursary should be made at the same time as an application for a place on the course

Applicants can apply for the bursary by submitting a covering letter expressing their wish to be considered for the bursary
