Scholarship Overview

Indian Subcontinent Scholarships is applicable to only Masters courses. This is a merit based scholarship. Indian Subcontinent Scholarships award up to Pound 11,556 year to various international students. The number of students to be awarded this scholarship Varies each year. To be eligible for this scholarship students need to appear for IELTS and PTE.Students must have passed 12th and Undergraduate degree to be eligible for this scholarship. All international students from these countries (Bangladesh,Bhutan,India,Maldives,Nepal,Pakistan,Sri Lanka) can apply for a Indian Subcontinent Scholarships. If an applicant has already received a free bursary or has applied for another scholarship offered by the university, then he/she is not eligible for this scholarship. All international students are auto-considered for these scholarships when they apply for the courses that have scholarships.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award applicants must:

• Applicants must have, or expect to receive, a first or upper second class honours degree or equivalent

• Holders of Bachelors degree will normally be expected to have achieved 55% - 60% or higher for 2:1 equivalency, or 50% - 55% for 2:2 equivalency depending on the awarding institution.

• For MSc programmes, the Business School will consider holders of three-year degree programmes (first class or very good upper second class) from recognised institutions in India.

• Applicants must have received an offer from the University of Birmingham to start one of  full-time MSc programmes based at the Birmingham campus

• English language requirements i.e IELTS 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in any band and PTE Academic 67 with no less than 64 in all four skills

• To apply for any of business scholarships applicants need to complete the online scholarship form
• Applicants will recieve the scholarship form shortly after they receive the offer to start one of eligible full-time programmes
• Scholarship awards are based on students’ grades at the time of application
• Scholarship applications will be assessed at each stage by a Business School Scholarship Committee.
