Scholarship Overview

International Academic Excellence Award is offered by the Southeast Missouri State University to international students. International Academic Excellence Award is available for students from any country who want to study Bachelors Degree and Bachelors Certificate in the USA at the Southeast Missouri State University. Every year, the university selects a certain number of candidates from all the received applications and offers them scholarships based on their academic profiles. The maximum scholarship that a student can receive is USD 4000 at Southeast Missouri State University. The fee needs to be paid in full, the scholarship amount will be given to students once they start their study program. Students must have taken the 12th grade to be eligible for this scholarship. To be eligible for this award, international students must take English language examinations as well as standardised exams like TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, SAT.

Additional Information

  • At the end of each academic year, students must have a Southeast cumulative 3.0 GPA and completed 24 Southeast credit hours (may include Southeast summer hours)
  • Recipients who do not meet this renewal criteria, but do meet the renewal criteria for the International Achievement Award (IAA) will receive the IAA the following year
  • GPA is evaluated on a 4.0 scale using a 6th or 7th semester transcript
  • An ACT or SAT score is required for graduates of a high school where English is the sole medium of instruction
