Scholarship Overview

International Entrance Scholarship is offered by the Lakehead University to international students. International Entrance Scholarship is available for students from any country who want to study Bachelors Degree in the Canada at the Lakehead University. Every year, the university selects a certain number of candidates from all the received applications and offers them scholarships based on their academic profiles. The maximum scholarship that a student can receive is CAD 40000 at Lakehead University. The fee needs to be paid in full, the scholarship amount will be given to students once they start their study program.

Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering/Master of Business Administration,Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering/Master of Business Administration etc as given. To be eligible for this grant, applicants must have taken the 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS, PTE.

  • A State Higher Secondary Certificate awarded by a State Board of Higher Secondary Education or; 
  • India and Delhi Senior School Certificate awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education or; 
  • Indian School Certificate awarded by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations
  • with academic achievment 90.0% 
  • IB average- 35+
  • To be considered eligible for scholarship consideration, recipients must be entering first, second or third year of a minimum 4-year undergraduate degree program.

English language proficience

  • IELTS- overall 6.5 with minimum score 6.0 
  • PTE- overall score 58 with no component less than 20 
  • TOEFL- overall score 80 no component score less than 19

  • Maximum length of scholarship term is 4 academic years or until the first degree is awarded, whichever occurs first. To be considered eligible for scholarship consideration, recipients must be entering first, second or third year of a minimum 4-year undergraduate degree program
  • Recipients whose status changes and may be charged domestic fees will have their scholarship value reassessed to equate to the domestic entrance scholarship grid and regulations available at that time
