Scholarship Overview

Interpreting and Translating scholarships is awarded at University of Bath to international students applying for various Masters courses offered across MA Interpreting & Translating etc. Scholarship will be awarded to multiple candidates. Those who qualify to get this scholarship, are awarded Pound 3000, which is a one time award. This scholarship cover tuition. Students must have passed 12th and Undergraduate degree to be eligible for Interpreting and Translating scholarships. Also, students needs to submit the following exams: IELTS and PTE, . Indian students are eligible to apply for Interpreting and Translating scholarships at University of Bath along with students from all other Countries. Students will have to fill an admission application form at University of Bath.

• The total value of the scholarship fund is £15,000 and depending on the number of suitable applications
• The total scholarship amount will be divided between multiple applicants.
• The minimum award amount is £3,000 and the scholarship will be applied as a discount on tuition fees.

Eligibility

Qualification requirements:

• Applicants must have a Bachelor degree with a final overall result of at least First Class. 
• Applicants must have a high academic achievement; the equivalent of a 1st Honours degree or, exceptionally, a high 2:1 degree.
• Applicants must hold an offer for one of  MA Interpreting and Translating European or Russian language courses or one of MA Translation and Professional Language Skills courses.
• Applicants must be a national of India and hold an Indian passport
• Applicants must meet english language requirements: 
  • IELTS- 7.5 overall with no less than 7 in the speaking component and no less than 6.5 in the writing, listening and reading components
  • PTE- 73 overall with no less than 65 in the speaking element and no less than 58 in the writing, listening and reading elements

• How to apply- Submit a statement of no more than 500 words in a Word document detailing why you think you should be considered. You should base this on previous academic achievements and relevant experience.
