Scholarship Overview

University of Idaho offers the Invitation to Idaho Scholarship. Every year, the International Students Office of University of Idaho awards scholarships to degree-seeking students who have specified financial needs. Note that a large portion of the scholarship funds come from International student tuition. Invitation to Idaho Scholarship is applicable for Bachelors Degree. The award is applicable for the courses like Bachelors in Interior Architecture and Design,BA/BS in Film and Television Studies,BS in Apparel, Textiles & Design,BA/BS in Advertising,BA/BS in Theatre etc as given below. If we consider the amount of the Invitation to Idaho Scholarship, then it varies each semester. The applicants should review the scholarship application in order to fully understand the availability and amount for that particular semester. To be eligible for this scholarship students must have appeared for 12th grade. Foreign students wishing to apply for this scholarship must take English proficiency exams such as TOEFL, IELTS and PTE. Students must submit the following documentation to be considered for the scholarship: Essays, Financial Documents and Official Transcripts.

• The Invitation to Idaho Scholarship results in a savings of over $15,066 for the 2021-22 academic year
• The award is renewable up to four years of undergraduate enrollment for first year recipients with a 2.5 minimum University of Idaho cumulative GPA

• Be a first-year international applicant to University of Idaho.
• Attend (or have graduated from) a secondary school outside of the United States.
• Demonstrate interest and personal initiative in activities involving intercultural learning and exchange.

• Official secondary school transcripts. If the applicant has not yet graduated from secondary school, a transcript showing all completed work may be accepted for early admission. External examination reports should be provided when applicable
• A written statement from the student that includes the student's goals, educational and/or professional objectives, an explanation of past academic performance, information and/or documentation regarding any extenuating circumstances, and any other information the student wishes to have considered
• Official English Proficiency test score
• Certified, literal translations of all credentials issued in any language other than English
• A statement of the student’s activities if there has been a gap in education
• A signed Certificate of Financial Responsibility
• An original bank statement (or letter from an appropriate official on bank letterhead) from the applicant or applicant's sponsor
• A copy of the applicant's passport
• 500-1000 word essay or a two-to-five minute video describing their aspirations to conduct projects, research, employment, or other experiences that will advance intercultural learning

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.
