Scholarship Overview

Jensen Hughes Graduate Fire Safety Award is a type of scholarship which is offered at University of Waterloo to those international students who are pursuing a Masters Degree. This is a Merit Based Scholarship, which is provided to only maximum number of students, depending on the University. Jensen Hughes Graduate Fire Safety Award are valued at CAD 4000 for maximum number of students, depending on the University who qualify from University of Waterloo. Also, the Jensen Hughes Graduate Fire Safety Award helps students in reducing tuition on a yearly basis, offered in the first year of Masters Degree only. Applications for Jensen Hughes Graduate Fire Safety Award at University of Waterloo are filed separately. Bachelor degree is required for applicants to be eligible for this scholarship. Along with the Jensen Hughes Graduate Fire Safety Award application. The eligibility of the students to qualify for Jensen Hughes Graduate Fire Safety Award would solely depend on the applicant’s admission to University of Waterloo Masters Degree, his/her aptitude for an overall contribution towards University of Waterloo community and of course the academic achievements.

Eligibility

• The student must be enrolled in Fulltime Master degree in Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering on the basis of academic achievement (minimum 80%) combined with a proven interest in and involvement in fire safety research.

Preference will be given to following candidates:

• Preference will be given to those students not already employed in the fire safety industry
