John Hatsios and Andromache Tsandes Hatsios Award is a type of scholarship which is offered by the Iowa State University . John Hatsios and Andromache Tsandes Hatsios Award is awarded to Masters Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Need & Merit Based scholarship will be given on a semester basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. . Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To be eligible for the award, applicants must have completed their Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade.

• The scholarship is available for all UG and PG programs
• Students participating in Optional Practical Training (OPT)/Post-Completion Academic Training (AT) /Intensive English and Orientation Program (IEOP) are not eligible

Eligibility

• Applicants who have been at ISU in the current degree-seeking program for one full academic year and achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 are eligible
• Applicants are required to be in F-1 or J-1 status

Preference will be given to following candidates:

• Preference will be given to students who
  
  • have demonstrated financial need and/or academic excellence
  • are employed on campus and who are involved in campus activities
  • are from Greece or of Greek descent

Application Process for this scholarship

Documents:

• Applicants are required to submit a letter explaining their financial need and how they will use the scholarship funds (500-word maximum)

Application Process:

• ISSO will send an e-mail each semester to students when they are able to apply for the ISSO scholarships (Fall: mid-September and Spring: mid-February). During the application submission timeframe, students may submit their scholarship application in Cystart
