Scholarship Overview

La Trobe University offers the La Trobe Excellence Scholarships. Every year, the International Students Office of La Trobe University awards scholarships to degree-seeking students who have specified financial needs. Note that a large portion of the scholarship funds come from International student tuition. La Trobe Excellence Scholarships is applicable for Masters Degree. The award is applicable for the courses like Master of Business Analytics. If we consider the amount of the La Trobe Excellence Scholarships, then it varies each semester. The applicants should review the scholarship application in order to fully understand the availability and amount for that particular semester. To qualify for the award, candidates must have completed the Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade. Foreign students wishing to apply for this scholarship must take English proficiency exams such as TOEFL, IELTS, PTE.

• If an applicant is full-fee paying student, then he/she may be eligible for a La Trobe Excellence Scholarship and can receive up to a 25% reduction on course fees

Eligibility

Applicants: 

• Be a citizen and resident of India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Kenya, Mauritius or Vietnam.
• Be applying for one of the La Trobe International Scholarship (LTIS) list of eligible courses.
• Have an overall WAM achievement of 80% or above.
• Commence their studies at any of the La Trobe University Victorian Campuses in 2022.
• Meet the University's English language requirements and all other conditions stated on the Offer Letter.
• As a scholarship award recipient, the student should be willing to be an International student ambassador for La Trobe University during their studies.

• Must have a recognized Bachelor's degree in any discipline
• According to Weighted Average Marks, the scholarship amount varies as given below:
  • LTU WAM (or equivalent) of 65 – 69.99 gets 15 % scholarship on annual fees (A$ 5,160)
  • LTU WAM (or equivalent) of 70 -74.99 gets 20 % scholarship on annual fees (A$ 6,880)
  • LTU WAM (or equivalent) of 75 and above gets 25 % scholarship on annual fees (A$ 8,600)
• Must satisfy the English language proficiency requirement with one of the following tests:
  • IELTS: Score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0
  • TOEFL: Overall 79 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing
  • PTE: Overall score of 58  with no communicative skill score less than 50

How to apply: 

1. Applicants must submit a complete application for the course commencing in Semester 1 (March) or Semester 2 (July) or Summer 1 / Term 6 (November) intake of 2022 at La Trobe University - Victorian campuses.
2. Applicants must also provide the following documents before the application closing date:
• A detailed resume
• A personal statement of no more than 300 words or a 3-4 minute video to detail "Why you should be awarded with the La Trobe University Excellence Scholarship".

Scholarship Application

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.
