Lakehead- Georgian Scholarshipp is offered by the Lakehead University to international students. Lakehead- Georgian Scholarship is available for students from any country who want to study Bachelors Degree in the Canada at the Lakehead University. Every year, the university selects a certain number of candidates from all the received applications and offers them scholarships based on their academic profiles. The maximum scholarship that a student can receive is CAD 14000 at Lakehead University. The fee needs to be paid in full, the scholarship amount will be given to students once they start their study program.

Lakehead- Georgian Scholarship is available for the Bachelors Degree. We have listed below the Bachelors Degree Programmes of Lakehead University that are eligible for the scholarship:
Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering/Master of Business Administration,Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering/Master of Business Administration etc as given. To be eligible for this grant, applicants must have taken the 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS and PTE. Students must submit the following documentation to be considered for the scholarship:

  • In addition to the entrance scholarships (based on academic merit), international Lakehead-Georgian students are eligible for the $4,000 International Visionary Award:
    • Total Scholarship + Award- $44,000 CAD (year 1 $14,000 CAD and year 2-4 $10000) for applicants with 90.0% & over in academics
    • Total Scholarship + Award- $34,000 CAD (year 1 $11,500 CAD and year 2-4 $7500) for applicants with 80.0% - 89.9% in academics
    • Total Scholarship + Award- $10,000 CAD (year 1 $10,000 CAD) for applicants with 75.0% - 79.9% in academics
    • Total Scholarship + Award- $4,000 CAD (year 1 $4,000 CAD) for applicants with 70.0% - 74.9% in academics
  • Entrance Scholarship averages are awarded based on the Canadian equivalent of your average used for admission consideration.
  • Scholarship Offers will be extended in two rounds.

  • A State Higher Secondary Certificate awarded by a State Board of Higher Secondary Education or; 
  • India and Delhi Senior School Certificate awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education or; 
  • Indian School Certificate awarded by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations
  • with academic achievment 90.0% 

English language proficience

  • IELTS- overall 6.5 with minimum score 6.0 
  • PTE- overall score 58 with no component less than 20 
  • TOEFL- overall score 80 no component score less than 19

Additional Information

  •  $10,000 x four years. Renewable provided a 90.0% average is achieved in each academic year. If a student's university academic average falls between 80.0 and 89.9%, the student will receive an amended scholarship valued at $7,500 CAD/year for each subsequent academic year for the remaining term of the scholarship.
