Lalit Chugh and Hira Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship are offered at University of Waterloo to those international students who are pursuing a Masters Degree. Lalit Chugh and Hira Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship are valued at CAD 10000 for single student who qualify from University of Waterloo. Also, the Lalit Chugh and Hira Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship is a one time tuition reducing scholarship, offered in the first year of Masters Degree only. Applications for Lalit Chugh and Hira Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship at University of Waterloo are filed separately. To be considered for this award, applicants must have a Bachelor degree. To be eligible for this award, international students must take English proficiency tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, PTE. Along with the Lalit Chugh and Hira Ahuja International Graduate Scholarship application. Eligibility

  • Graduate students registered full-time in a Master's or Doctoral program in the Faculty of Engineering are eligible for this scholarship
  • Selection to be based on demonstrated academic excellence (minimum 80% cumulative average in their current program or over the last two full-time academic years)
  • Overall 63 PTE score with a sectional score of 65 in writing and speaking
  • Overall 7 IELTS score with a sectional score of 6.5 in writing and speaking
  • Overall 90 TOEFL score with a sectional score of 25 in writing and speaking

Preference will be given to following candidates:

  • Selection will be based on the following preferences:
    • International students who hold a valid Canadian study permit and have graduated from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)
    • Permanent Residents of Canada who have graduated from an IIT
  • Preference will be given to female candidates
