  • It is understood that the recipient of a scholarship will meet the following conditions: enrolled in a CALS major at the University of Florida for the 2023-2024 academic year and registered as a full-time graduate student at UF (9-12 hours)

  • Applications are reviewed by the CALS Graduate Scholarships and Awards Committee and awards are made contingent on available funding. Scholarship applications are scored on the following:

    • scholastic achievements, honors and awards;
    • leadership activities, including service to department, college, UF or professional societies;
    • teaching activities;
    • scholarship in discipline (publications, posters and presentations, for example);
    • letters of recommendation;
    • quality of research abstract; and
    • academic performance
