Scholarship Overview

LLB and LLB for Graduates Scholarships is applicable to only Bachelors courses. This is a merit based scholarship. LLB and LLB for Graduates Scholarships award up to Pound 3,000 year to various international students. The number of students to be awarded this scholarship Varies each year. To be eligible for this scholarship students need to appear for IELTS and PTE.Students must have passed 12th and to be eligible for this scholarship. All international students irrespective of their Nationality can apply for a LLB and LLB for Graduates Scholarships. If an applicant has already received a free bursary or has applied for another scholarship offered by the university, then he/she is not eligible for this scholarship. All international students are auto-considered for these scholarships when they apply for the courses that have scholarships.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for the LLB and LLB for Graduates Scholarships, candidates must:
    • Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship
    • Have applied for, and received an offer and selected the University of Birmingham as their firm choice in UCAS for a full-time undergraduate programme at Birmingham Law School. You must be entering the first year of an undergraduate programme based at Birmingham's UK campus
    • Not already be registered and studying on a programme at the University of Birmingham in the UK
    • Be self-funding and have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK
    • Accept an offer from the University of Birmingham for a programme within Birmingham Law School

Additional Information

  • Scholarships are not paid directly to successful applicants but will take the form of a fee reduction at the beginning of the programme
  • To retain the scholarship students must gain a minimum of a 2:1 (60%+) in each year of study. Should these grades not be achieved, the scholarship will be withdrawn for the remainder of the programme
  • Students on the Law with French Law or Law with German Law programmes will receive scholarship payments in years 1, 2 and 4 assuming all conditions are met
  • Scholarships are available to all privately funded international students categorised as overseas for fees purpose
  • Scholarships are only available for students beginning their programme in upcoming September and cannot be deferred
  • Students in receipt of support from other funding bodies which wholly cover their tuition are not eligible
  • In accepting and securing this scholarship, awardees are expected to support the University, to a reasonable extent, by providing profiles testimonials and engaging in ambassadorial activities if requested by the University
