Scholarship Overview

Macquarie University India Scholarship is awarded for pursuing Bachelor of Arts with a major in Philosophy at Macquarie University. A student can get a maximum amount of AUD 5000 and the scholarship amount will be given semester wise. The scholarship amount can be used for paying tuition. To be eligible for this scholarship students must have appeared for 12th grade. To be eligible for this award, international students must take English proficiency tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, PTE.

• Bachelor of Arts with a major in Philosophy

• This scholarship is applicable for all the undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at the University
• This scholarship does not apply to the Macquarie University Master of Management course

• Amount of AU$ 10,000 is awarded annually towards the tuition fees for the length of the course
• AU$ 5,000 is credited against the tuition fees each semester (2 semesters in a year)

Eligibility

• Applicant must have passed standard XII from ISC/CBSE/State Boards with a minimum of 60%
• Applicants must satisfy the English language proficiency with one of the following:
  
  • TOEFL - Overall 83 with a minimum of 12 in listening, 13 in reading, 18 in speaking and 21 in writing
  • IELTS - Overall 6.5 with no band less than 6.0
  • PTE - Overall 58 with 50 in each sub-section
  • ELP Waiver - Applicants may satisfy the English language requirements if they have completed the senior secondary studies equivalent to the NSW HSC
