Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship- SLU is applicable to only Bachelors Degree students. This is a Merit Based scholarship. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship- SLU award up to USD 3000 on a one time basis to various international students. The number of students to be awarded this scholarship Varies depending upon the university each year. To be eligible for this scholarship students must have appeared for 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS, PTE. All international students are auto-considered for these scholarships when they apply for the courses that have scholarships

  • Cumulative high school GPA of 3.25 or higher, weighted or unweighted, as reported on your transcript at the end of your junior year
  • After reviewing the applications, SLU invites a select group of students to St. Louis campus each March to interview for a Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship

  • Complete and submit SLU’s online application for freshman admission and all required materials (transcripts, etc.)
  • Complete and submit the separate Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship application and all required materials (scholarship essay and resume)
  • Respond to the following essay prompt in 500 words or less
    Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must do it because conscience tells him it is right.” King Scholars are members of an inclusive and intentionally diverse community that leads our campus in addressing issues of social injustices.
