Scholarship Overview

Mechanical Engineering Entrance Award for Graduate Studies is applicable to only Masters courses. This is a merit based scholarship. Mechanical Engineering Entrance Award for Graduate Studies award up to CAD 2,000 one time to various international students. The number of students to be awarded this scholarship are 10 each year. All international students irrespective of their Nationality can apply for a Mechanical Engineering Entrance Award for Graduate Studies. If an applicant has already received a free bursary or has applied for another scholarship offered by the university, then he/she is not eligible for this scholarship. All international students are auto-considered for these scholarships when they apply for the courses that have scholarships.

Eligibility

Qualification requirements:

• Candidate must be registered full-time in the first-year of a graduate program (MASc or PhD) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, York University, at the time of receiving the award
• Candidates must have a GPA of A- or higher for the last 2 years of their education
• Candidates past research activities and quality of research performance, and significance of the projects/work, e.g. presenting at international conferences, publication, or application of the work.
