Scholarship Overview

New Freshman Scholarships is offered by the University of North Dakota to international students. New Freshman Scholarships is available for students from all countries who want to study Bachelors Degree in the USA at the University of North Dakota. Every year, the university selects a certain number of candidates from all the received applications and offers them scholarships based on their academic profiles. The maximum scholarship that a student can receive is USD 14000 at University of North Dakota. The fee needs to be paid in full, the scholarship amount will be given to students once they start their study program.

To be eligible for this grant, applicants must have taken the 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS, PTE.

• 3.9+ GPA (unweighted) - $14,000 ($3,500 / year for a maximum of 4 years)
• 3.7-3.89 GPA (unweighted) - $11,000 ($2,750 / year for a maximum of 4 years) 
• 3.5-3.69 GPA (unweighted) - $1,500 (non-renewable)

Eligibility

• Applicant must have passed high school
• Required subjects:
  • English (4 units)
  • Math (3 units of Algebra I or above)
  • Lab Science (3 units)
  • Social Studies (3 units)
  • 1 additional unit from any category above (English, Math, Lab Science or Social Studies) or world language (including foreign languages, Native American languages or American Sign Language)
• Students must be admitted, meet the scholarship criteria and pay their $200 enrollment confirmation deposit by July to secure their new freshman scholarship for fall 2022
• Students must be a full-time student enrolled in at least 12 credits per semester to qualify

Application Process for this scholarship

• Certified copies of official records from each secondary or middle school, university and/or professional school attended
• Complete Statement of Financial Responsibility
• Evidence of English Proficiency
• A photocopy of passport

Scholarship Application

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.
