Scholarship Overview

Newcastle University Vice-Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship is offered by the Newcastle University . Newcastle University Vice-Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship is awarded to Masters Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given one time. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is GBP 27000. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To be considered for this award, applicants must have a Bachelor degree. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like IELTS, PTE.

• The scholarship is offered a 100% discount on the tuition fee
• For MSc Computer Science the amount should be $27000 whereas for MSc in Renewable Energy, Enterprise, and Management (REEM) should be $26400

Eligibility

• To be considered for the 100% scholarships applicants must:
  
  • be a national of one of the following countries: India, Egypt, Ghana and Nigeria 
  • be assessed as international for fee purposes
• Entry Requirements:
  • A 2:2 honors degree, or equivalent, in any subject.
• English Language Requirements:
  • IELTS-  6.5 overall (with a minimum of 5.5 in all sub-skills).
  • PTE- 62 overall (with a minimum of 51 in all sub-skills).
