Scholarship Overview

Ohio Wesleyan University offers the Merit Scholarship. Every year, the International Students Office of Ohio Wesleyan University awards scholarships to degree-seeking students who have specified financial needs. Note that a large portion of the scholarship funds come from International student tuition. Merit Scholarship is applicable for Bachelors Degree. The award is applicable for the courses like Bachelor of Arts in Accounting,Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration,Bachelor of Arts in Economics,Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science,Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics,Bachelor of Arts in Physics with Pre-Engineering Option,Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. If we consider the amount of the Merit Scholarship, then it varies each semester. The applicants should review the scholarship application in order to fully understand the availability and amount for that particular semester. To be eligible for this scholarship students must have appeared for 12th grade. Foreign students wishing to apply for this scholarship must take English proficiency exams such as TOEFL and IELTS.
Students must submit the following documentation to be considered for the scholarship: LOR, Essays and Financial Documents.

• The range of financial assistance for international students was between $5,000 to full tuition per year with an average scholarship of $32,000 per year.

• Documents required:
  • LOR: submit One letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, or principal who is familiar with the recent academic performance
  • Essay: submit One Essay through the online application portal, where applicants can choose the topic
  • Submit an updated Certification of Finances
  • Submit academic records and it should include the name of each subject and their marks
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency scores
  • SAT/ACT scores, if submit
  • Statement of activities (if the applicants are not currently enrolled): A short paragraph describing what you have been doing since leaving school
