Scholarship Overview

Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship is offered by the Sydney Business School, University of Wollongong . Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship is awarded to Masters Degree students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement and the potential to contribute to the university community. This Merit Based scholarship will be given on a yearly basis. The scholarship amount can be used for tuition. The maximum scholarship amount a student can get is AUD 24076. Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship if they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. In this case, they need not submit a separate application for applying to this scholarship. To qualify for the award, candidates must have completed the Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade. International students seeing to avail this scholarship need to appear for English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS, PTE. For the purpose of receiving the scholarship, students must have job experience.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the scholarship students must:

• Be commencing a coursework Master's degree at UOW (Australian campuses only) in 2022 excluding Doctor of Medicine, Nutrition and Dietetics, Exercise Physiology, Teaching, Social Work, and Psychology degrees
• Have excellent academic results (75+ WAM or equivalent)
• Be an international student
• Not be in receipt of any other scholarship, sponsorship, bursary, or discount 
• English language proficiency score:
  • TOEFL: with a minimum score of 18 in Reading & Writing and 17 in Listening & Speaking
  • IELTS: with a minimum score of 6 in each skill
  • PTE: with a minimum score of 54 in each skill
• A minimum of three years’ relevant full-time professional or managerial experience is also required

• Certified copies of all academic records, mark sheets, or transcripts of studies previously undertaken
• English language proficiency scores
• The student must submit the Statement of Motivation with no more than one page, written in English, and address: your motivation for studying the MBA with the Sydney Business School, University of Wollongong; and how the degree will help achieve your career goals and aspirations
