Scholarship Overview

Postgraduate Merit Award is offered by the Heriot Watt University. This scholarship is for pursuing a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree, The Postgraduate Merit Award is given one-time to multiple students each year. This scholarship awards a maximum of GBP 3000 per student and is used to cover tuition. Under this scholarship some students get their full tuition fee waived. To qualify for the award, candidates must have completed the Bachelor degree and passed the 12th grade. Students from abroad must take English proficiency exams like IELTS, PTE in order to be eligible for this award.

Eligibility

Applicants with following qualifications are eligible to apply:

  • a good first degree in a relevant subject. From most Indian Universities, this means an overall score of 55% or above
  • students with grades are slightly lower than this (52% or above) Universities of Delhi/ Mumbai/ Calcutta/ Madras/ Pune/ Bangalore/ Rajasthan will also be considered and this will depend on other factors, such as any relevant work experience, the quality of the references they can provide etc.
  • English language requirements i.e IELTS 6.5 and PTE overall score 58-64 
  • Domiciled in an international country at the time of application and classified as an overseas student for fee purposes starting a full-time on-campus programme of student
  • Self-funding your course
  • Holding an offer to study a full-time postgraduate taught degree course starting in September 2023 or in January 2023.
