Scholarship Overview

Poynting Excellence Scholarship is applicable to only Bachelors courses. This is a merit based scholarship. Poynting Excellence Scholarship award up to Pound 3,000 one time to various international students. The number of students to be awarded this scholarship Varies each year. To be eligible for this scholarship students need to appear for IELTS and PTE.Students must have passed 12th and to be eligible for this scholarship. All international students irrespective of their Nationality can apply for a Poynting Excellence Scholarship. If an applicant has already received a free bursary or has applied for another scholarship offered by the university, then he/she is not eligible for this scholarship. All international students are auto-considered for these scholarships when they apply for the courses that have scholarships.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award you must:

• Indian Standard XII ISC, CBSE, Maharashtra 90% in three subjects including Maths and Physics
• Indian Standard XII West Bengal: 85% in three subjects including Maths and Physics
• Indian Standard XII Other State board: 95% in three subjects including Maths and Physics
• A Levels A* in Mathematics or Further Mathematics, A* in Physics, A* in a third subject
• Be classified as international for fees on your acceptance to the university.
• Be accepted to one of the physics courses for year 1 entry in 2023 after placing it as firm choice in UCAS
• English language requirements i.e IELTS 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in any band and PTE 51 in all four skills

• English Language proficiency scores
• A copy of passport
• Personal Statement required of 4000 characters, which should answer the questions below:
•  Why you’d like to study a particular course or subject
•  What skills and experience you possess that show your passion for your chosen field

• No application is required, successful applicants will be contacted by the beginning of September 2023.

Students will be auto-considered for this scholarship when they apply for the courses on which this scholarship is applicable. No separate application is needed.
