Scholarship Overview

Quest Undergraduate Scholarship is offered by the Heriot Watt University. This scholarship is for pursuing a Bachelors Degree, The Quest Undergraduate Scholarship is given yearly to a multiple students each year. This scholarship awards a maximum of GBP 2500 per student and is used to cover tuition. Under this scholarship some students get their full tuition fee waived. To be eligible for this grant, applicants must have taken the 12th grade. Students from abroad must take English proficiency exams like IELTS, PTE in order to be eligible for this award.

• £2,500 for every year of study (up to a maximum of four years, or five in Scotland)
• Paid work placements every summer
• A full-time job with a leading civil engineering or construction company when you graduate
• Experience and knowledge that are good for your CV and your career, especially if you want to become an incorporated or chartered civil engineer.

Eligibility

Applicants with following qualifications are eligible to apply:

• For most subjects we require 70% overall in year 12 state board high school examinations and at least 70% in the relevant subjects. For example if you want to study Chemical Engineering, you would need to have 70% in both Maths and Chemistry.
• For Computer Science programs we require 65% overall in year 12 state board high school examinations with 65% for Maths.
• For Mathematics we require 70% overall in year 12 state board high school examinations with 70% for Maths.
• For Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics we require 75% overall in year 12 state board high school examinations with 80% for Maths.
• For students taking the West Bengal State board examinations, the pass mark we require is 65%.
• English language requirements i.e IELTS 6.0 and PTE overall score 50-57 with 51 in each component
• Domiciled in an international country at the time of application and classified as an overseas student for fee purposes starting a full-time on-campus programme of study
• Self-funding your course
• Holding an offer to study a full-time undergraduate degree course
• Must be enrolling in civil engineering program at the university
