Scholarship Overview

Said Business School Foundation Scholarships is awarded for pursuing MBA at University of Oxford. A student can get a maximum amount of GBP 25000 and the scholarship amount will be given one time only. The scholarship amount can be used for paying tuition. To be eligible for the award, applicants must have completed their 12th grade and also possess a Bachelor degree. To be eligible for this award, international students must take English language examinations as well as standardised exams like IELTS, GRE and GMAT. As a part of selection process, applicants must have relevant work experience and also needs to appear for an interview. In order to apply for the scholarship, students need the following documents: LOR, Essays, CV and Official Transcripts.

Eligibility

  • A portion of the scholarships will be available to candidates who have shown strong career progression and excellent career potential
  • Candidates should have strong communication skills, strong leadership ability or potential, and readiness and enthusiasm to become a strong ambassador for the School whilst on the program and beyond
  • A further portion of these scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence demonstrated through degree results, GMAT or GRE score, previous university prizes and awards, and other academic achievements
    • Candidates should also demonstrate good leadership skills and strong professional experience
  • All applicants are required to have completed a recognized undergraduate degree
  • IELTS: 7.5 with min score of 7.0 in each component
  • GMAT/ GRE: 
    • Candidates are recommended to apply with a GMAT score of 650 or above
      • The current class has a median GMAT score of 690
    • Recommended score for Sub-sections Verbal score of 160 and Quantitative score of 161
      • The current class has a median of 160 (verbal) and 160 (quantitative)
  • Work Experience: Applicants should have at least two years of previous full-time work experience
  • Applicants with a full-time degree-level course of a minimum of nine months, at a recognized institution, where the medium of instruction and assessment was entirely in English can be exempted from the English proficiency exam at the discretion of the University
  • Interview: It is part of the admission process
    • Interviews will be conducted by either a faculty member, senior member of the administrative staff or an industry adviser
    • The interview can take place in Oxford, overseas (subject to availability), or via video conference (i.e. Skype, Zoom, or similar)

Preference will be given to following candidates:

  • Preference may be given to candidates of African, Middle Eastern and Latin American nationality.
