Scholarship Overview

Second Language Excellence Scholarship is offered by the University Canada West. This scholarship is for pursuing a Bachelors Degree, Bachelors Diploma and Masters Degree, The Second Language Excellence Scholarship is given one-time to a multiple students each year. This scholarship awards a maximum of CAD 8000 per student and is used to cover tuition. Under this scholarship some students get their full tuition fee waived. Students from abroad must take English proficiency exams like IELTS in order to be eligible for this award.

Eligibility

Entry requirements:

• Applicants must have achieved a minimum overall score of 7.0 on an IELTS – Academic Report
• Award recipients are expected to act as ambassadors for UCW and participate in outreach and alumni engagement initiatives.
• The student must commence their program before their offer for admission expires.
• The student must not change programs
• The student must maintain good academic standing.
• The student must maintain a full-time enrollment status.

Application Process for this scholarship

• An official high school transcript;
• Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended (if any);
• Official proof of English proficiency (if applicable);
• A credential evaluation from a recognized service confirming equivalency if the applicant submits a credential from an unrecognized institution or if additional analysis is required by the Admissions Committee; and
• Where transcripts are in a language other than English, the applicant must provide a certified English translation from a certified translator on official letterhead.
• Applicants will be automatically considered for this scholarship at the time of enrollment. A separate application is not required.
