Scholarship Overview

SFU Ali Dastmalchian Memorial International Study Abroad Awards are awarded by the Simon Fraser University, which supports students in its academics and research pursuits. SFU Ali Dastmalchian Memorial International Study Abroad Awards includes a yearly award of up to CAD 1000, which can be used for the purpose of tuition payment only. The scholarship does not include other expenses such as accommodation, living expenses, travel expenses, etc. Simon Fraser University usually looks for candidates with a holistic profile, and not just academic excellence. This scholarship is available to students from all countries. As for the academic eligibility criteria, candidates are expected to have 12th and undergraduate degree that can prove an academically excellent background, .

Eligibility

• The Ali Dastmalchian Memorial International Study Abroad Awards are available to undergraduate students who meet the following criteria:
  
  • are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program at the Beedie School of Business;
  • are enrolled full-time in the term of the award (9 units of standard graded courses);
  • are in good academic standing (a minimum 2.00 CGPA);
  • are participating in full-time SFU Formal Exchange or Field School programs administered by the International Services for Students office; and
  • have a prior engagement in internationalization activities (e.g. volunteer activities, mentorships, community activities)
