Scholarship Overview

SFU EA Dick Asher Award in the Faculty of Applied Sciences are awarded by the Simon Fraser University, which supports students in its academics and research pursuits. SFU EA Dick Asher Award in the Faculty of Applied Sciences includes a yearly award of up to CAD 10000, which can be used for the purpose of tuition payment only. Eligibility

• The award will be granted annually in the Fall term to a female undergraduate student who meets the following criteria:
  • is enrolled full-time in the term of eligibility;
  • is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in the Faculty of Applied Sciences;
  • is majoring in any program within the School of Computing Science or is majoring in Computer Engineering;
  • has completed 60 units;
  • has completed at least one term equivalent of related work experience;
  • is in good academic standing; and
  • has a strong interest in a future career in the gaming industry

  • A personal statement (no more than a single page) that includes a response to the following two questions:
    • Why did you choose to pursue computing science at SFU?
    • How would receiving this scholarship support your gaming interests?
