Scholarship Overview

SFU Gilhooley Family Entrance Bursary in Business are awarded by the Simon Fraser University, which supports students in its academics and research pursuits. SFU Gilhooley Family Entrance Bursary in Business includes a semesterly award of up to CAD 3250, which can be used for the purpose of tuition payment only. The scholarship does not include other expenses such as accommodation, living expenses, travel expenses, etc. Simon Fraser University usually looks for candidates with a holistic profile, and not just academic excellence. • The bursary will be valued at a minimum of $6,500 (payable over the Fall and Spring terms at a minimum of $3,250 per term), will be granted annually to undergraduate students
• This is an annually renewable bursary for up to a maximum of ten terms that will continue to provide funding to the recipient up until their completion of the requirements for their first undergraduate degree in the Beedle School of Business
• Renewals are based on continued good academic standing and full-time enrollment (minimum of 9 units) while in pursuit of their bachelor's degree in the Beedle School of Business

Eligibility

• The scholarship is applicable to an undergraduate student who meets the following criteria:
  • are entering SFU from a secondary school (Note: regular secondary school applicants must have minimum grades in the 80% range for the faculty they have applied to/lB diploma applicants must have the minimum IB diploma score required for admission)
  • are admitted to and will be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at the Beedie School of Business
  • are registered in a minimum of nine SFU units per term of eligibility; and
  • have demonstrated financial need
